Everybody has been reading or hearing about the huge modernization project at LAX, and you may have wondered what this means to the LAX Facilities Group. This very interesting presentation will describe the ORAT program – Operational Readiness and Airport Practices – a Facilities Best Practices program to support the successful introduction of new facility infrastructure. Among the topics discussed will be:  development of operations and maintenance needs and staffing, participation of maintenance crews during construction, and review and acceptance of training, equipment, inspection and commissioning activities.
