This session will discuss the required annual inspection and testing of façade access equipment per CAL-OSHA mandates by a CAL-OSHA certified SIT company. Façade access equipment encompasses all rooftop suspension and safety systems utilized for exterior building maintenance access. This requirement would include, but is not limited to, the entire façade access system, guard railing, HLL lines, roof anchors, roof davits and much more. The speaker will outline the steps necessary to identify building hazards and develop solutions, and how to ask the appropriate questions of an SIT company. The presentation also will identify the importance of prioritizing worker safety to assist in the mitigation of liability and risks.
