This session will discuss OSHA Standard Title 29, part 1910.147 practices and procedures necessary to de-energize electrical equipment and safely disable machinery to prevent the release of hazardous energy while employees perform servicing tasks. The speaker will describe some common Lockout/Tagout violations including examples where employees were injured while performing maintenance tasks. Included will be a sample of NFPA 70E simple and complex Lockout/Tagout procedures and an emphasis on the importance of training.
